SubLimit — Your first report Narrated walkthrough with fictional practice records 00:00 — Getting started Welcome to SubLimit. This walkthrough uses real application screens and fictional practice records. Pause whenever you want to follow along. 00:10 — Open your practice contract Download and extract the practice files from the tutorial page. In a separate practice workspace, choose Open configuration and select contract dot JSON. 00:21 — Review your contract Contract setup contains the reporting month, contract category, and program details. The sample is already filled in. Your own contract needs its own verified facts. 00:33 — Confirm applicability Confirm whether the FAR clause applies, and record the supporting evidence. If you are unsure, leave the answer blank and seek clarification. 00:43 — Review people and vendors Next, review People and vendors. Use stable identities and documented subcontractor status. A similar name does not establish identity or similarly situated status. 00:55 — Check government receipts Government receipts supplies the payment basis. In this fictional example, eligible government payments total one hundred thousand dollars. Payroll cost is a separate measure. 01:07 — Select the payroll workbook Open Import and mapping. Under payroll and timekeeping, choose Select CSV or XLSX files, and select payroll dot XLSX from the practice folder. 01:20 — Review the saved mapping The sample includes saved column mappings. Check the worksheet name, header row, date format, and exact column headings before importing your own files. 01:30 — Preview the source headings Choose Preview first file to see the original headings and rows. Check the worker identifiers, job numbers, dates, and hours against your mapping. 01:40 — Select subcontractor payments Scroll down to Subcontractor payments and time. Select subcontractors dot XLSX in this section, and check its mapping too. 01:49 — Import and calculate When both files and mappings are ready, choose Import and calculate. SubLimit processes the reporting files locally on your computer. 01:59 — Read the counted amount The sample result counts eighteen thousand four hundred twenty dollars of subcontracting. 02:05 — Read the payment basis The eligible government payment basis is one hundred thousand dollars. 02:10 — Check the percentage Dividing the counted amount by that payment basis gives eighteen point four two percent. The sample is compliant against its configured fifty percent limit. 02:21 — Trace a contribution To examine the evidence, double click a payment contribution. Here we open the first row. 02:28 — Inspect the original source The detail shows the source worksheet, row number, field, and original value. Use this trace to reconcile a result with the spreadsheet that produced it. 02:38 — Practice a missing fact Now let us try an incomplete fact. For this exercise only, leave the contract applicability answer blank, then import and calculate again. 02:48 — Review required SubLimit now shows Review required and leaves the calculation unavailable. It does not guess that the clause applies. 02:57 — Resolve the cause Open Exceptions to see what needs attention. Use Edit contract facts to correct the confirmed facts, then calculate again. Obtain evidence before changing an unknown answer. 03:09 — Prepare the workforce draft The OCC workforce report is a separate workflow. Confirm that your contract requires this form revision. Its personnel and hours are separate from the FAR payment calculation. 03:22 — Load practice staffing After restoring the sample confirmation and recalculating, choose Import staffing file and open staffing dot JSON from the practice folder. 03:32 — Review the worker lines This example has ten worker lines, with all imported hours reconciled. Review the workers, hours, and contractor facts before preparing the draft. 03:42 — Save and export the draft Save the staffing draft to keep it with workspace backups. Use Export unsigned Word draft to prepare the document. Inspect every page, including continuation pages. 03:54 — Officer review is required Your authorized officer remains responsible for reviewing, certifying, and submitting the report. The application prepares the draft and does not sign on your behalf. 04:05 — Export your reporting package Back in Results, Export package lets you save the reporting output. Store exported files securely, along with the evidence your organization needs. 04:16 — Revisit reporting history History preserves earlier runs, including the incomplete example. Select a run and choose Open selected run to revisit it. 04:25 — Protect and recover your work In Backup and restore, create a local backup and test restoring into a new folder. For business records, use a protected workspace and keep its passphrase safely. 04:36 — Keep your records safe SubLimit cannot recover a forgotten password. Original input files and exported reports need their own protection. Keep practice files separate from business records. 04:48 — Your first report: complete You have now seen how to import, check, trace, and preserve a reporting period. Use the written walkthrough and practice files on the tutorial page to try it yourself.
